BSHM Autumn Meeting and AGM

Lecture Room A, School of Mathematics, The Watson Building, University of Birmingham, Saturday September 27, 2008, 11am to 5pm (coffee and registration from 10:30)

The venue is Building R15 on the University map. Here are directions for travel.

Speakers will be:Raymond Flood’s Presidential Address.
Rob Iliffe: The Newton Project – the Principia online.
Jackie Stedall: Editing the Oxford Handbook on the History of Mathematics.

There will also be the usual short talks by members of the Society, and the AGM will be held during the afternoon. The members' talks will be by Martin Campbell-Kelly and Snezana Lawrence.

A booking form is now available, which should be returned to Tony Mann, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College, Park Row, London SE10 9LS by 19th September. The meeting fee, including refreshments and lunch, is £20 for BSHM members and £30 for non-members.  There is a reduced rate for full-time students of £12.
