As part of the annual BA Festival of Science, BSHM is presenting a session on the history of mathematics in navigation. Speakers will be Tony Mann on Navigation: disasters and close shaves, Mary Croarken on Calculating Longitude: one woman's life's work and Mark McCartney on The ups and downs of tide predication.
