Membership rates for 2013 are as follows:
To join the BSHM, you have to complete this membership form and send it to The BSHM Administrator, 21 Bowerland Avenue, Barton, Torquay, TQ2 8QH. It is possible to pay by cheque, credit card (Visa or Mastercard only), or direct debit. The form also contains a Gift Aid declaration for UK taxpayers. We regret that it is not yet possible to join the Society by email or to pay the membership fee online. If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Secretary, Peter Ransom (bshm@btinternet.com). Members may subscribe through BSHM to the journal Historia Mathematica for the special rate of £30 (for 2013). Members may also take out through BSHM reciprocal membership of the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Mathematics (CSHPM/SCHPM), whcih costs an additional £12. If you wish to take up either or both of these options, please fill in the form accordingly. The membership of the BSHM includes people from many backgrounds: researchers, teachers from primary level to university, students of the history of mathematics or science, and those who have a general interest in cultural history. About a quarter of the membership is from outside the UK. Members of the Society benefit from reduced admission to most of the Society's events, and receive the Bulletin free, as well as regular mailings detailing forthcoming events of interest, whether organised by the BSHM or not. |
