Dr Graham R. Martin

GRM mugshot Dr. Graham Martin is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Warwick and leads the Multimedia Coding Group. His research interests include:

image sequence analysis
visual coding for multimedia and video-conferencing systems
image content analysis and description techniques
real-time systems and computer communications

Graham Martin has more than twenty years research experience in image and signal processing, and prior to joining Warwick, he was employed as a Research Engineer with GEC-Marconi Electronics Ltd.

Graham Martin has more than forty journal/conference publications plus two books, and has been a member of the program and organising committees of a number of international conferences. He currently represents the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) on BSI/DISC Technical Committee IST/37, the UK National Body represented on ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29, and he has particular interests in WG11 (MPEG).
