Dr Michael K. Steliaros

MKS mugshotDr. Michael Steliaros is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science for the Multimedia Coding Group. He has been a member of the group since January 1996. His research interests include: 

  • motion estimation for object based video coding
  • coding techniques for variable size block-matching motion estimation
  • efficient methods for parallel visualisation of large scale  3D models
  • development of a framework for parallel 3D graphics visualisation
He received his BEng in Computer Science from the University of York in 1992, and his MSc in Parallel Computers and Computation and PhD in Computer Science from the University Of Warwick in 1993 and 1999 respectively. 

He is also the webmaster for this site.
