How to use this Document

This document is hypertext. That means that is is divided into pages, each of which has areas on which you can click to move you to a different page. If you are reading this now, you will already be familiar with the basics of hypertext.

Unlike an ordinary paper book, you will probably not begin at the beginning and read through it until you reach the end. Throughout the book you will have the opportunity to move immediately to other (related) parts of the book. I have adopted some conventions to assist you ``navigating''.
