This is a good concept, and I hope that the implementation doesn't prove to be too demanding for the scale of the assignment. It's important to keep the focus on 'some of the issues that arise with the development of the parser' firmly in mind, as that's where the strength of your potential theme lies I think. You could certainly make profitable use of the material I handed out in the lectures, and reflect on how your re-engineering improves the situation where maintenance and further application is concerned.

It would be good to find other references external to EM that could be used here, as this would also point to themes above the level of mere model-building. Perhaps contrasting the development as you have identified it in your work to date with the sort of things that go on in traditional version handling would be good to include. There are a few specific references of interest (beyondSQL.ppt from the sqleddiWard2003/Docs directory identifies a potential point of arrival - you might also think about revisiting the sqleddi presentation in tkeden in sqleddiWard2003/Presentation). By the way, the reference to Ward, A "PhD Thesis" is not correct - his thesis has a different theme.
